By now Post Malone is known around the world. While he leans heavily on the hip hop and trap side, he often experiments R&B and Pop elements. He is mainly a rapper, so why is there a Post Malone drum kit? Because his sound is pretty unique and he carved out a duccessful niche for himself.
Post Malone made a splash after posting ‘White Iverson’ on Soundcloud in 2015. Apparently he write his debut single in two days. It blew up and was picked up on by mainstream artists like Mac Miller & Wiz Khalifa. It took six more months and Malone signed his first major-label deal.
He first achieved commercial success with his song ‘Rockstar’, a collaboration with rising producer 21 Savage. The song made it to the number one position on the US Billboard charts. It also broke the single week streaming record on Apple Music amassing a massive 25 million streams. The sounds in the Post Malone drum kit are heavily influenced by this album.
The song was featured on his sophomore album ‘Beerbongs and Bentleys’ which dropped in April 2018 as follow up to his debut album ‘Stoney’. The album went on to break the Spotify streaming record on its first day of release.
