Apathy Brings The Underground To Rhythm Roulette

The Boom Bap savior shows how he cut samples of all kind

When you have been part of underground supergroups like Jedi Mind Tricks, Demigodz, and Army of the Pharaohs, you don’t need to prove yourself anymore. But Apathy is not afraid of putting his skills on the table for this new edition of Mass Appeal’s Rhythm Roulette.

After having blindly select records at “The Telegraph” from Spirit, Zager & Evans and a piano LP by Sarah & Hayim Fershko, the Connecticut artist takes us back to his studio. After listening carefully to every second of each record, he manages to create three beats, one per album. But, the only one to his likings came from a dope bassline found on the “Spirit” LP.  Put the speed up, chop and add drums, play a bassline, and there you go!
