The TX81Z is yet another FM synthesizer from Yamaha and came in a compact 1-unit rackmount module. It is basically a key-less version of the DX-11. It might compete with the classic Yamaha DX-7, but it’s an inexpensive option with lots of programmability. It’s used by Fluke, Roni Size, Astral Projection, Squarepusher, Jimmy Edgar, Future Sound of London, and Josh Wink.
